My second week back in the world of Freebie Trading. It has been a busy week and I have made great progress. I have worked on my trade threads (on both Cali and FLR), updated this blog to add an email subscribe link (Go ahead and subscribe on the right and never miss an issue!), I have worked to get my name on the forums by responding the posts and welcoming new users.

Random tip of the week
For fun I have decided to give you a random tip of the week.
Watch the tutorials (on both FLR and Calistyle) – this will save you time in the end. If you don’t know what you are doing before you start doing trades, it can cause you to be unsuccessful in completing offers and it will cause you delays in getting crediting for the offers. This would cause you to get discouraged and potentially not continue with Freebie Trading which would be very unfortunate.

Topic of the Week – Getting Organized
it is very important to be organized with Freebie Trading. You should have a spreadsheet that keeps track of all your information. The first sheet should be one for researching offers before you sign up for a trade. On this sheet you would track all the offers you would be interested in for a respective site.

Then you have a sheet where you keep track of all your trades where you are being paid for your referral (and to go green). It is very important to keep track of offers you have signed up for, it’s terms and conditions as well as the contact details so that you are not surprised by unwanted fees.

The third sheet you want to keep track of all of your referral links you have in your portfolio and the payment terms as well as how much you will be paying for each site.

The fourth sheet is to keep track of all transactions where you are paying others to be your referral (and to go green).

It is a lot of work to setup but guess what I have done all the hard work for you. I am giving away my organization spreadsheet to anyone that asks. The only thing I ask in return is that you consider doing a trade with me at some point in the future.

Last week, I decided to return to Freebie Trading for a variety of reasons. I was struggling with what to do next with my Internet Marketing efforts that were not very successful. So, I decided to go back to my roots which is Freebie Trading as this was the first thing I tried online and what I was most successful at in terms of earning me an online income.

I also decided to write a weekly newsletter with my thoughts for the week. Could be anything I encountered during the past week. I do plan to advertise Freebie Trading (and this blog) on Traffic Exchanges but only when I am ready.

Now, enough about me. Onto my weekly rumblings and what I have discovered in the last week.

When I left Freebie Trading several months ago, there was alot of promises of better times and increased traffic (new referrals) that were going to join Free Lunch Room (FLR). My main impression in my return is that signs are not good – there does not seem to be increased traffic (if anyone has stats, I would welcome them!) and that FLR seems more link a sinking ship. (sorry! These are my impressions)

My Impressions on FLR:

• Clear Hands-on ownership is missing and lacking; unfortunate because in the right hands this site could be great – like it once was
• Less active participants – there seem to be less activity on the forums in terms of messages being posted. Have folks left for a better place? (more on that later)
• Banned reputable IFW networks (Git-R-Free for one) – based on the rumors the networks were “asked” to pay to be on the forum and those that did not pay were banned. We should be able to trade on whatever network we the people want
• No improvement from when I left several months ago

However – there is hope (not for FLR) but for a clear #1 forum to be in place.

So I joined Calistyle 101 and I did not expect anything different but boy was I wrong. Calistyle 101 is the newest network on the block it seesms to have “opened” mid-year 2009 (or I think it got a new owner at that time). Anyhow, YOU CAN TELL that the owners want to make Calistyle 101 the Number 1 forum for freebie trading and so far I think they did an outstanding job.

• no banned networks
• positive environment
• training videos – The training videos are outstanding! I highly recommend any new trader to view these BEFORE they start!
• Same traders as FLR.
• An Involved owner this makes all the difference in my view – you can tell they will continue to improve this site
• There is even a membership style where you can upgrade to “silver” for $9.95/month and they offer affiliate commission on it.
